Hay Mike I live in Hawaii and visted Montana this last winter. I was looking for a reasonably affordable elk hunt for 2007. All I can find is guided for about $4,000 (not including the $500 tip to the guide)and unguided for about $2,000. This seems a little too much I'm not use to paying to hunt. But as I am not from the area I don't want to waste my time in a place where there are no elk to be taken. Any advice you have would be great. Thank You Opie

Hey Mike, you are right I worked for Brogan. Is he still outfitting? I enjoyed that but realized it was a lot tougher living than i was up for. I stuck around for about another year or so working for Valley Machine and engineering in Belgrade, also known as Montana Vintage Arms, he mad the black pwder gunsights. I wish we could lion hunt here, we sure have an abundance of them. we can't even get one out of state and bring it in to california. But we can bear hunt with hounds and we have an abundance of them as well. I like your dog boxes, maybe someday when I am rich and famous, i can look you up.(now I just build wooden ones). catcha later Mike sam

Hi Mike, Nice looking Cat, Great looking Walker, and nice rig box ya built there. What bloodline walkers do you run, My son has some Sacket/Nailor cross walkers and I have a B&T that I hunt coon with here in MI. Good to find a sight for us outdoorsmen and even better to see another houndsman in here. Jim
